    Mainline Information Systems is looking for a Network Security Engineer to join their growing team. This is a full-time position working to design, deploy, and support customer deployments and environments. This role would have a heavy focus on network security areas such as Next Generation Firewalls, Secure Access Service Edge, Load Balancers and network segmentation technologies.

    The Position

    The Network Security Engineer will be responsible for gaining an in-depth understanding of our customer environments and acting as a strategic advisor in guiding customers toward the right solutions to meet their needs.

    This role requires a proactive mindset, strong attention to detail, and a passion for solving real-world business challenges through innovative network solutions. Your ability to deliver exceptional results and ensure client satisfaction will be key to the success of our Professional Services organization.


    Responsibilities

    • Work within a team of highly certified engineers to provide exceptional professional services to the Mainline customer base.
    • Collaborate with other team members, sharing knowledge and resources to improve overall delivery quality.
    • Lead implementation and migration projects as necessary. Provide detailed documentation, including as-built configurations, network diagrams, and project deliverables.
    • Serve as the primary technical point of contact during project engagements, fostering strong relationships with clients in a trusted advisor role.
    • Provide technical support to the Mainline customer base as needed to ensure customer success and Mainline success.
    • Ensure customer satisfaction by maintaining a high standard of professionalism, responsiveness, and technical expertise throughout the engagement.
    • Diagnose and resolve complex networking issues in a timely manner. Perform root-cause analysis and recommend proactive solutions.
    • Work closely with internal teams, including project managers, solutions architects, and sales teams.
    • Stay up to date with emerging technologies and trends in networking security to facilitate evolving markets and strategies.
    • The ability to obtain industry and vendor certifications that will benefit the customer, the network security team and Mainline.


    Qualifications

    • At least 5+ years of experience in firewall design, deployment, configuration, and administration, preferably with Palo Alto, Fortinet, Juniper and/or Cisco.
    • At least 5+ years of experience working with load balancers such as F5, NetScaler's, A 10 or VMware AVI technologies.
    • High school diploma or GED required
    • Strong understanding of network protocols, security concepts and industry best practices.
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with diverse stakeholders.
    • Experience in an IT consulting environment preferred.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with high attention to detail.


    Preferred Certifications

    • Next Gen Firewall (PCNSE/PCNSC, FCSS/NSE)
    • Load Balancer (F5-CSE/CTS)
    • Route/Switch (CCNP, JNCIP)


    Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

    This is a fully remote position. Candidates located within the united states will be considered.

    • Physical environmental factors of this position include those found in typical business office environment or home office environment.
    • Requires use of general office equipment and personal computer equipment.
    • Ability to travel. Various means of travel may be required, including auto and air travel. This position requires travel: Rarely
    • May be required to work irregular schedules including but not limited to as applicable: Nights, weekends, holidays, on-call, and/or overtime.
