Union Coop, founded on May 24, 1982, through Ministerial Resolution No. 31/2, is dedicated to improving the social and economic welfare of its members while actively serving the local community. Committed to adhering to international best practices in the retail sector, Union Coop has established itself as a leader in the UAE’s consumer cooperative landscape. As the largest consumer cooperative in the UAE, Union Coop operates 22 branches and three shopping malls: Al Barsha Mall, Etihad Mall, and Warqaa Mall. In a pioneering effort to innovate the shopping experience, Union Coop has introduced two grocery chains, Mini Coop and Coop, alongside implementing a smart shopping concept in various branches, making it the first cooperative in the MENA region to embrace this forward-thinking approach.
