    Be our next Water Resources Intern!

    Your work environment at EXP

    In this role, you will be a part of the Transportation and Site Civil team, of the U.S. Central Sector, based in Chicago, Illinois office and have the opportunity to work on hydraulic/hydrologic analyses and designing appropriate drainage systems in close coordination with Roadway, Site Civil, and Structural Engineers.

    What a day at EXP has in store for you

    • Assist with on-site inspections and limited field assignments.
    • Utilize CAD programs to assist in the preparation of plan drawings and details.
    • Perform rudimentary calculations under the direction of a licensed engineer.
    • Assist with preparation of technical specifications and reports.
    • Perform material quantity take-offs.
    • Organize design calculations.
    • Assist project teams in meeting deadlines as needed.

    What Your Experience Looks Like

    • Experience with computer aided drafting and Microsoft Office products
    • Punctuality and maturity – ability to work with minimal direction.
    • Ability to work outdoors for limited field assignments.
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
    • Ability to work in a team environment.

    The hourly range for this role is $21-25. Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to the candidate's skill set, experience, certifications, and geographic location. Compensation may vary by location due to differences in the cost of labor.
