Senior Accountant
Job Description:
We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our client's accounting team. You will manage general accounting functions and will oversee the month-end close process, and analyze cost data to provide insights into financial performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate financial statements and manage the month-end/year-end closing process.
- Analyze and allocate costs to products, departments, or processes.
- Manage inventory reconciliation.
- Perform variance analysis and develop cost models.
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate financial transactions.
- Support audits and ensure compliance with internal controls and regulations.
- Provide financial analysis and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Maintain bank relationship.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor junior staff.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
- 5+ years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years in cost accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, cost accounting methods, and financial reporting.
- CPA certification is a plus.
