Python Data Analyst As a Python Data Analyst, you will be responsible for collecting, cleaning, and transforming data to ensure it is reliable, structured, and usable across the business. But your role goes beyond preparation — you will also dig deep into complex business problems, using Python and SQL to perform analysis that reveals trends, risks, and opportunities. You’ll build pipelines, run advanced queries, and deliver insights that guide decision-making. Your work will directly enable our BI Analyst to create dashboards, our Data Scientist to build predictive models, and leadership to make smarter, data-driven choices. This role is perfect for someone who is highly skilled in Python + SQL, detail-oriented, and motivated to turn raw data into business value.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, automate, and maintain ETL pipelines for clean and scalable data access.
Collect, clean, and prepare raw data from multiple sources (databases, APIs, flat files).
Write and optimize complex SQL and Python queries for analysis and reporting.
Perform exploratory data analysis to support management decisions and R&D projects.
Deliver ad-hoc data requests for leadership and business units.
Partner with the BI Analyst to ensure datasets are structured for dashboards and reporting.
Partner with the Data Scientist to provide clean, large datasets for modeling.
Monitor data quality and consistency; document data definitions and sources.
Ensure compliance with internal data governance standards.
Qualifications
Strong proficiency in Python (pandas, NumPy, matplotlib/seaborn for analysis).
Strong proficiency in SQL (able to handle complex joins, window functions, optimization).
Experience with ETL / workflow automation tools.
Familiarity with data visualization (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or Looker).
Knowledge of working with APIs, JSON, CSV, Excel for data ingestion.
Experience with cloud data warehouses (BigQuery, Redshift, Snowflake) is a plus.
2–4 years of relevant experience in a data analyst/engineer role.
