    Alexander Ash are currently seeking Financial Statement Close Process Specialists on behalf of one of our financial services clients in the UAE.


    You will be responsible for overseeing the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process for financial statements. This role involves ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant preparation of financial statements, as well as identifying and addressing any issues that arise during the close process. The individual will collaborate with various business units to gather and validate data, ensure the integrity of financial information, and contribute to the preparation of reports for senior management and external stakeholders.


    Key Responsibilities:

    • Coordinate and oversee the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close process to ensure timely completion of financial statements.
    • Ensure all journal entries are posted accurately, reconciliations are completed, and financial data is accurate.
    • Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, income statement, cash flow statements, and other key financial reports.
    • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information by performing detailed variance analysis and explaining significant changes in financial results.
    • Collaborate with accounting and operational teams to gather necessary information and resolve discrepancies during the close process.
    • Ensure that all financial reporting adheres to GAAP, IFRS, and company policies.
    • Maintain internal controls over financial reporting to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulations.
    • Assist in external and internal audit processes by providing necessary documentation and explanations related to the close process.
    • Prepare timely and accurate financial statements and management reports for executive leadership, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting packages.
    • Assist in the preparation of consolidated financial statements and ensure alignment with group reporting requirements.
    • Continuously identify and implement improvements in the financial close process to increase efficiency and reduce the time to close.
    • Leverage financial software and ERP systems to automate and streamline close-related activities, including reconciliations and reporting.
    • Work closely with other finance teams, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, tax, and treasury, to ensure accurate and timely close.
    • Provide support and training to team members and other departments as needed to ensure understanding and adherence to close processes.
    • Assist with special financial analysis, reports, and presentations as requested by senior management.
    • Support any other accounting or finance tasks as necessary to meet business objectives.


    Qualifications and Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or equivalent qualification preferred).
    • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting or financial reporting, with at least 2 years focused on the financial close process.
    • Experience with financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and Excel.
