Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Postdoctoral Researcher at Canadian University Dubai. The Postdoctoral Researcher will be responsible for conducting research, publishing findings, collaborating with faculty members and students, and contributing to research projects within the University setting in Dubai.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement high-precision image stitching frameworks to address global and local image transformations.
- Enhance 3D alignment processes utilizing deep learning methods to repair slice damage and improve overall data quality.
- Create and evaluate self-supervised algorithms for 3D reconstruction and segmentation of complex biological datasets.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to integrate AI techniques into traditional VEM workflows, ensuring effective and efficient data processing.
- Assist in compiling and analyzing datasets, presenting findings, and contributing to scientific publications.
- Support the training of graduate students and research associates within the project.
Qualifications
- Strong research and analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Experience in academic publishing and presenting at conferences
- Knowledge of research methodologies and data analysis
- Ph.D. degree in a relevant field
- Experience in teaching or supervising students is a plus
- Fluency in English
