Our client, a full service design manufacturing company, is seeking an Associate Designer to join the young adult women's denim team in NYC!This position will be working on a brand sold at Target.Responsibilities:• Participate in design development for young adult women's denim• Conduct market research, create inspiration boards, designs, sketches, and CADs• Attends design meetings and share presentation boards• Research current and future trends for color, fabric, and trim• Create detailed flat sketches• Attend and participate in fittings• Make design comments for style changes and update sketches• Pitch colorways for fabric developmentRequirements:• Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design• At least 3-5yrs of design experience (denim knowledge a plus)• Very detail oriented and organized• Proactive & problem solver• Fast & strong Ai sketcher• Proficient in garment construction and fit/technical design• Clear & professional communication skills with overseas teams as well as domestic clients• Knowledge of social media marketing (internal branding vids or photoshoots, etc.) – creative and efficient at simple video editing• Good visual presentation skills (grasp of basics in graphic design/layout/template building for various client-facing decks)Salary: $70,000-$75,000Please submit your resume for consideration.You can use www.workgrades.com to collect and manage your references for free and share them with us or anyone else you choose.
