and development unit, is dedicated to conceiving and developing a broad
portfolio of life-changing treatments for patients built from Flagship’s
innovative platforms. Harnessing the drug development expertise of its
team together with the power of Flagship’s multiple scientific platforms,
Pioneering Medicines explores and identifies new product concepts and
then works jointly with Flagship’s companies to form integrated teams
that advance medicines through robust discovery and early clinical
development.
Pioneering Medicines also partners with external collaborators across
biopharma throughout the R&D process, applying its unique approach to
the R&D priorities of partners through highly co-creative relationships.
The team leads Flagship’s Innovation Supply Chain Partnerships with
Novo Nordisk and Pfizer to speed innovation in drug development and
bring novel therapies to patients, as well as a partnership with the Cystic
Fibrosis Foundation to develop therapeutics that address the unmet
needs of people living with cystic fibrosis.
