About the Job

Join PATH Developments (formerly PCRE) and be part of a trusted and growing team shaping impactful projects and communities.

Your New Employer

PATH has a 20-year history of development across Western Canada and Washington state and has delivered over 12,000 residential units, and several commercial, industrial and office projects. PATH has recently rebranded and is expanding its operations. They have a strong pipeline of projects and is actively acquiring new sites.

PATH’s culture is important to its identity, and that culture is built on a commitment to excellence and a foundation of mutual trust and loyalty. They are committed to building a team of skilled, passionate individuals and makes it a mission to provide opportunities for growth for team members within the company.

Your New Role

As Senior Project Accountant, you will handle full cycle accounting for several different projects, assist in the preparation and coordination of quarterly investor reporting packages, and help with monthly updates to proforma forecasts. You will coordinate monthly budget reviews by updating actuals, working with development and construction managers to update, coordinate, and document follow-up and action items.

You will monitor project cash requirements, prepare and act as the point of contact for project capital calls, distributions, loan draws, and repayments. Documenting, monitoring, and liaising with interdepartmental teams regarding project milestones (LC tracking and release, warranty periods, deposits, and prepaids) will be essential. You will also implement and manage internal controls, business processes, and procedures for project accounting. Cross-functional collaboration is key, and you’ll work closely with teams across finance, marketing, construction, and development to ensure accurate and timely completion of interdepartmental tasks (job cost tracking, equity and bank financing, and budget approvals). You’ll also support senior management in annual budgeting and quarterly reporting and assist with special projects and ad hoc requests. Additionally, you will be involved in transaction support, research on accounting and tax issues, special projects, and mentoring junior staff.

What Sets You Apart

To excel in this role, you will have a professional accounting designation (CPA) and a bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent, along with a minimum of three years of accounting experience. Demonstrated analytical skills and advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office are essential, and experience with Sage Intacct is a strong asset. You have excellent communication skills and are confident building relationships across teams. The ability to prioritize tasks, manage competing deadlines, and maintain a high level of attention to detail is critical for success.

Most importantly, you bring a growth mindset. You’re always looking to learn, improve, and take on new challenges. PATH is looking for someone who is proactive in their development and excited about growing with the company. Your professional growth will be supported as part of a high-performing, collaborative team.

What You Can Expect

Join a company that values excellence, trust, and loyalty. PATH is committed to professional development and offers opportunities for growth, mentorship, and leadership. With a dynamic pipeline of projects and a strong foundation, this is a chance to be part of a high-performing team shaping the future of real estate.
