Job OverviewWe are on the hunt for a proactive and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our dynamic team in a fully remote capacity. As a pivotal member of our accounting department, you will ensure the integrity of financial records while supporting our accounting operations. Our firm stands at the forefront of nutritional analysis and labeling software, boasting over 35 years of industry experience and a recent partnership with a prestigious investment firm, positioning us for unprecedented growth.Key Responsibilities• Lead the month-end and year-end accounting close processes, preparing reconciliations and journal entries, while assisting in the generation of financial statements.• Conduct daily accounting functions, encompassing accounts payable, general ledger tasks, and bank reconciliations.• Facilitate expense reimbursement processing, ensuring proper documentation and reconciliation.• Evaluate financial results to guarantee the completeness and accuracy of financial statements.• Identify opportunities to streamline and enhance current accounting processes through automation and best practices research.• Assist in the implementation of ERP systems and contribute to ad hoc reporting and analysis.• Collaborate cross-departmentally to troubleshoot and provide expert guidance as needed.• Engage in corporate compliance activities, including audits and tax-related tasks.• Manage operational accounting duties, such as payment reconciliations and revenue transaction recording.• Prepare and disseminate reporting packages to relevant stakeholders.• Uphold a professional representation of the company in all interactions with internal and external clients.Required Skills• Extensive experience with financial ERP systems (preferably NetSuite, Maxio, or Salesforce).• Proven track record in managing accounts receivable and vendor portal oversight.• Exceptional collaboration and relationship-building skills.• Strong analytical capabilities, with a meticulous attention to detail and outstanding time management skills.• Effective communication skills, adept at engaging with various levels within the organization.Qualifications• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is mandatory.• A minimum of 2 years of relevant accounting experience, including at least 1 year in an operational accounting role within a high-growth organization.• Experience in the SaaS industry or with private equity-backed companies is preferred.• Candidate should be on a trajectory towards CPA certification.Career Growth OpportunitiesJoining our team provides ample opportunities for professional advancement and skill enhancement within a supportive environment.
