Position: Network Security Engineer - Remote (WFH)Join our esteemed financial services organization as a Network Security Engineer, where your expertise in networking and security will contribute to our mission of delivering innovative solutions. We are in search of a driven professional with a robust understanding of networking fundamentals and a proficiency in firewall technologies.Work EnvironmentThis role is initially remote, offering you the flexibility to work from home. However, candidates should be based in or willing to relocate to Phoenix, AZ, as we anticipate a transition back to the office setting in the near future.Key Responsibilities• Maintain and support a multi-tenant network environment that encompasses both cloud-based and on-premises systems, collaborating closely with our 24⁄7 NOC/SOC operations team.• Deliver outstanding support to our managed customers by promptly troubleshooting and resolving service-impacting issues.• Execute requested changes, meticulously document processes, and adapt the existing infrastructure as necessary.• Uphold and enforce network security best practices throughout the organization.Required Skills• Comprehensive knowledge of networking principles, including an understanding of network topologies and schematics.• Proficient in key network protocols such as TCP, UDP, and ICMP, as well as HTTP/S, SSH, and Telnet.• Strong troubleshooting abilities related to networking issues, encompassing routing, access, and firewall configurations.• Familiarity with tools such as nmap, tcpdump, and log analysis for effective packet/session analysis.• Understanding of network ACLs and load balancers, alongside enterprise technologies like WAF and network IDS/IPS.• Command of Linux CLI.• Experience with threat detection tools focused on packet analysis.In This Role, You Will• Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues within our environment.• Implement diverse systems for packet collection.• Collaborate with SOC and threat detection teams to analyze traffic flows and develop effective detection strategies.If you are eager to embrace this challenging opportunity and advance your career in a dynamic and reputable organization, we invite you to apply and join our team!Employment Type: Full-Time
