This remote position provides you with the opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of those who have served our nation, all while fostering a healthy work-life balance and a supportive environment.Key Responsibilities• Manage approximately 15 BVA hearings monthly, ensuring thorough preparation and representation for our clients.• Review case files meticulously and aid clients in their testimony preparation.• Coordinate the procurement of necessary medical evaluations and records.• Conduct extensive legal research and draft essential documents such as hearing briefs and post-hearing motions.• Work collaboratively with an assigned case manager, enhancing case management through teamwork.• Utilize advanced remote work tools like Zoom, Teams, and Slack for effective communication and case management.• Engage in regular team meetings and provide continuous support to clients throughout the appeals process.• Analyze case decisions to determine the necessity of further appeals.Required Skills• Admittance to the bar in any U.S. state or territory (VA accreditation preferred).• Prior experience in Veterans Disability or Social Security law is advantageous.• Exceptional oral and written communication skills, paired with strong legal research capabilities.• A compassionate demeanor, dedication to excellence, and aptitude for prioritizing tasks in a dynamic environment.• Proficiency with remote work technologies and the ability to navigate technical challenges seamlessly.Qualifications• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.• Admission to the bar in any U.S. state or territory (VA accreditation preferred).Career Growth OpportunitiesThis position offers a pathway to professional advancement, allowing you to develop your legal expertise while contributing to a meaningful mission.
