Job Overview

We are seeking a talented Full Stack Web Developer to join our dynamic team in a fully remote capacity. This pivotal role will involve the migration and enhancement of our existing web applications, focusing on both backend and frontend systems. You will have the opportunity to implement best practices that ensure the sustainability and maintainability of our projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Migrate and refactor the current Flask backend to FastAPI, while establishing and documenting best practices throughout the migration process.

• Transition the existing Flask frontend to a contemporary JavaScript framework, incorporating robust testing and development methodologies for future engineers to uphold and build upon.

• Assess the existing data model, ORM, and CRUD operations to guarantee compliance with best practices, migrating the database and refreshing data models as necessary.

• Develop sustainable models for development, Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), and deployment practices.

• Provide ongoing support to enhance web application functionality, aligning with the feature roadmap and stakeholder requirements.

Required Skills

• Expertise in developing RESTful APIs utilizing modern Python web application frameworks (such as Flask, FastAPI, or Starlite) with a minimum version of Python 3.9.

• Proven experience in crafting reusable CRUD operations through Object-Relational Mapping (ORM) tools, like SQLAlchemy.

• Strong command of modern JavaScript front-end development along with adherence to best practices, inclusive of frameworks such as React or Vue.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated proficiency in contemporary Python and JavaScript frameworks.

• Experience in RESTful API development and CRUD operations.

• Familiarity with best practices in web application testing and development.
