Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a global team to spearhead influential community initiatives.

• Participate in community engagement through various channels such as forums, IRC, social media, and conferences.

• Provide support to volunteer developers, addressing their challenges and assisting them in achieving their contributions.

• Motivate and assist in the creation of innovative technical projects to enhance the community experience.

• Regularly disseminate updates regarding community initiatives, events, and successes.

Required Skills

• A strong passion for technology and collaboration with skilled individuals.

• Curiosity, adaptability, and the capability to work independently while taking ownership of goals.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Familiarity with open-source projects and developer tools.

• A public portfolio showcasing accomplishments such as blog posts, presentations, and contributions to open-source platforms (e.g., GitHub, Twitter).

• Knowledge of Linux, Ubuntu, DevOps, software development, testing, QA, package management, or container technologies.

• Experience with open-source communities and an understanding of the workflows involving volunteer contributors.

Qualifications

• Experience in community management and developer advocacy is preferred but not mandatory.

• A background in software development with demonstrated contributions to open-source projects is a plus.
