Job Overview We are on the lookout for a committed and enthusiastic Art Instructor to join our innovative team, specializing in guiding adults with developmental, emotional, and intellectual disabilities. In this remote role, you will empower artists to unlock their creative potential, assist them in reaching their artistic aspirations, and promote their integration into the local art scene as professional contributors. This unique opportunity allows you to inspire and mentor individuals across various artistic disciplines such as drawing, animation, digital art, and 2D design. Key Responsibilities • Deliver exceptional art education and mentorship in a range of media, customizing lessons to align with each artist’s Individual Service Plan (ISP). • Facilitate the personal growth of artists by aiding them in the establishment and attainment of artistic goals, while also providing valuable feedback and portfolio development. • Prioritize the safety and well-being of artists during both on-site and community-based activities, adhering to established safety protocols. • Conduct remote art instruction using digital platforms, ensuring regular communication with artists, supervisors, and case managers to monitor progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly. • Maintain accurate records of attendance and progress, and assist in sharing digital updates regarding artwork with supervisors and team members. • Organize and oversee art supplies and equipment, ensuring a safe and efficient workspace for all participants. • Engage with the community by promoting the mission and services of the art center during studio tours and events, while supporting art shows and exhibitions. • Collaborate effectively with fellow instructors and staff to design and implement educational, psychological, and social objectives tailored to each artist’s unique needs. • Participate in special events, administrative tasks, and professional development sessions as required. Required Skills • Proficiency in one or more artistic disciplines, particularly in digital art and 2D design. • Ability to provide supportive and positive guidance to adults with diverse abilities. • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interactions with artists and team members. • Competence in digital communication platforms, including email and video calls. Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in art, digital arts, or a related field. • Minimum of six months of relevant experience in teaching, studio work, art installations, or comparable fields.
