We are currently looking for an Operations Analysis Engineer I or II for our Houston, TX office.

Position Description

Support operational cost saving objectives by identifying reliability improvement options and efficiency opportunities for Gulf South (GS) and Boardwalk Louisiana Midstream (BLM).

Utilize pipeline simulation to determine operational capabilities of gas and liquid pipeline facilities including evaluating volumetric impacts for scheduled/unscheduled facility outages, in-service restrictions, and pipeline restoration/abandonment projects to minimize adverse financial and customer impacts.

Conduct real-time and predictive gas quality evaluations for the Coastal Bend Header.

Perform capacity scheduling processes to determine Gulf South volumetric service levels that can be provided for the five NAESB daily nomination cycles given changing pipeline operational limitations.

Recommend pipeline facility modifications and operating changes that maximize operational capacity to effectively satisfy customer requests and enhance revenue.

Develop pressure and flow rate of change guidelines for leak and/or rupture identification by Gas & Liquids Control.

Support System Optimization process improvements via automated computer applications and effective database management.

Required Skills, Knowledge, And Experience

  • Strong technical aptitude and computer skills
  • Strong data management and analysis skills
  • Familiarity with fluid mechanics
  • Effective communications skills to interact cross-functionally
  • Good interpersonal skills to work in team environment

Preferred Skills, Knowledge, And Experience

  • Engineering experience in energy industry

Required Education

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering
