Position Summary
As a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA), you will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist (PT) to provide direct patient care. You’ll implement treatment plans, document resident progress, and contribute to improving the mobility, independence, and quality of life of our residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer physical therapy treatments as directed by supervising PT.
- Deliver skilled therapy interventions to improve function, mobility, and pain management.
- Assist in monitoring patient progress and adjusting treatment as necessary.
- Document treatments and patient responses in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Educate and support residents, families, and caregivers on therapy goals and progress.
- Communicate updates with the supervising PT and interdisciplinary team.
- Participate in staff meetings and collaborative care planning.
- Active Texas Physical Therapy Assistant license
- Good standing with all licensing and regulatory agencies
- Experience in Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNF) or long-term care preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with Net Health documentation system is a plus
