Key Responsibilities

• Develop API Integrations: Build and manage integrations using Guidewire REST APIs and EDGE APIs to fetch, create, and update claim data.
• Portal-Backend Communication: Enable real-time, secure communication between the JDP Portal and Guidewire applications.
• Customize or Extend APIs: Customize Guidewire's REST APIs when needed to support unique business requirements.
• Data Mapping and Transformation: Map and transform data between JDP Portal structures and Guidewire domain models (e.g., Claims, Policies, Contacts).
• Error Handling and Resiliency: Implement robust error handling, retry mechanisms, and logging for API transactions.
• Performance and Scalability: Optimize API design and usage for high throughput and minimal latency.
• Security Compliance: Ensure all API interactions are secure (e.g., OAuth2, JWT tokens, HTTPS encryption).
• Testing and Validation: Develop unit, integration, and end-to-end tests for all APIs and workflows.
  
  

Skills Required

• Strong hands-on experience with Guidewire REST APIs and EDGE APIs
• Experience building RESTful integrations (using JSON, Swagger)
• Understanding of Guidewire data models (Claim Center and Policy Center)
• Gosu scripting knowledge (for backend customization if needed)
• API security standards (OAuth2, JWT, etc.)
• Strong understanding of insurance workflows (claims, policies, parties)
• Familiarity with API debugging and monitoring tools
• (Optional) Cloud deployment knowledge (if APIs are exposed externally)
