General Accountant

Job Title: General Accountant / Financial Accountant. ***ARABIC SPEAKER***

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced General Accountant/Financial Accountant to join our finance team in the UAE. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring accurate reconciliation, preparing financial reports, and assisting in month-end closing activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy in financial transactions.
• Process bank statements and reconcile discrepancies.
• Assist in the month-end and year-end closing process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
• Prepare and analyze financial reports, including profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Maintain general ledger accounts and ensure proper documentation.
• Review and reconcile accounts payable and receivable transactions.
• Assist in budget preparation and variance analysis.
• Ensure compliance with UAE financial regulations and accounting standards.
• Work closely with auditors during internal and external audits.
• Support management with ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in accounting and financial reporting.
• Strong experience in reconciliation, bank statements, and month-end closing.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, or similar).
• Advanced MS Excel skills and strong analytical abilities.
• Knowledge of IFRS and UAE tax regulations is preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience working in the UAE or GCC region.
• Certification such as CPA, ACCA, or CMA is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
