About Us

We’re building drifthome, an AI-powered mobile-first property search app that rethinks how people find homes. Buyers get personalised discovery, and agents get better quality leads, all in one seamless app.

We’ve built our MVP and are preparing for growth. The next step is to evolve the backend from a simple CRUD system into a clean, event-driven architecture that supports scale, analytics and AI. We are bringing engineering in-house and are looking for a full-time full-stack developer to join our small engineering team and take ownership from contractors as we build for the future.

You’ll play a central role in shaping the product and the codebase.

The Stack

Frontend (Mobile): React Native (iOS & Android)

Backend: .NET 8 (C#)

Database: Azure SQL

Infrastructure: Azure App Services, Key Vault, Blob Storage

CI/CD: Azure DevOps

Messaging & Notifications: Firebase

What You’ll Do

•⁠ ⁠Work as part of a small in-house team to take ownership from contractors

•⁠ ⁠Build and ship new features across frontend and backend

•⁠ ⁠Handle bug fixes, optimisation and production stability

•⁠ ⁠Work with the founders to plan product iterations and timelines

•⁠ ⁠Oversee deployments and infrastructure

•⁠ ⁠Lead the shift from CRUD code towards Domain-Driven Design and an event-driven core

•⁠ ⁠Help design and implement domain events, outbox, and projections for personalisation and analytics

•⁠ ⁠Contribute to long-term technical planning and documentation

What We’re Looking For

•⁠ ⁠Solid experience with React Native and .NET (C#)

•⁠ ⁠Confident with Azure (App Services, SQL, DevOps, etc.)

•⁠ ⁠Strong understanding of full-stack architecture and mobile app development

•⁠ ⁠Experience or strong interest in Domain-Driven Design and event-driven systems (domain events, outbox pattern, projections, CQRS)

•⁠ ⁠Comfortable working independently while collaborating closely with a small team

•⁠ ⁠Pragmatic problem-solver with a start-up mindset

•⁠ ⁠Bonus: experience leading refactors of existing apps or managing a mobile launch
