Role Description
We are seeking a Full Stack Developer with strong CAD and file integration experience to help rebuild and modernize a web-based markup and drawing management application. This role will focus on developing interactive, layered drawing tools that connect to real-time asset and work order data, supporting advanced file types, and enabling collaboration across teams.
You will be responsible for:
- Designing and building web applications that integrate with complex asset and facility data.
- Implementing front-end features including layers, asset markers, drag-and-drop interactions, and real-time collaboration.
- Building back-end services to handle file upload, storage, transposition, and synchronization with relational and NoSQL databases.
- Supporting high-performance rendering of large image, vector, and CAD files across desktop, tablet, and mobile environments.
- Creating integrations for CAD software and file formats such as DWG and DXF.
- Collaborating with product managers, QA, and other engineers in an agile development environment.
- Conducting code reviews, debugging, and performance optimization.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop responsive and scalable web applications (front-end + back-end).
- Implement drawing management features such as upload, vector support, transposition/alignment, and multi-layer functionality.
- Build tools for asset interaction, including drag-and-drop linking of existing records and dynamic reporting/filtering.
- Enable real-time collaboration with user presence tracking and action logs.
- Design role-based permission systems and external access workflows.
- Integrate with RESTful APIs and ensure seamless connection to the larger platform.
Qualifications
- Strong front-end development skills: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks such as Angular or React.
- Strong back-end development skills: Node.js with Postgres and MongoDB experience.
- Experience with CAD software integrations and file handling (.dwg, .dxf, vector PDFs).
- Familiarity with layered graphics, vector images, and large-file rendering in web environments.
- Experience working with RESTful APIs and web services.
- Proficiency with version control systems such as Git.
- Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and performance optimization skills.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and collaboration abilities.
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
