Our client is seeking a
Front-End Developer
to join their team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate recent experience in and up-to-date knowledge of HTML, CSS, media queries and responsive web development. Significant background with and a willingness to work in a CMS is necessary for this position.
Responsibilities:
• Help to build and maintain our line of business web properties, primarily through a CMS.
• Recent experience in and up-to-date knowledge of HTML, CSS, media queries and responsive web development.
• Possess a sharp eye for web design.
• Willingness to learn RebelMouse, our client's CMS. There will be provided on-the-job training and written resources in Confluence that the developer can access on their own.
• Significant background with and a willingness to work in a CMS is necessary for this position.
• Work closely with other developers, IT and UX in a team environment.
• Share ideas and collaborate with and learn from co-workers.
• Self-motivation and the ability to advance time-sensitive projects independently are key to success in this position.
• Troubleshoot CMS issues and to elevate the functionality of our CMS platform.
• Provide clear, concise direction for testing to our offshore QA team once a build is complete.
Tools We Use:
• RebelMouse CMS.
• HTML editor.
• Adobe Suite - Photoshop, XD and Illustrator.
• Figma.
• Jira, Confluence.
Qualifications:
• Recent responsive web design/media query experience.
• Recent CSS experience, including CSS preprocessors, and HTML.
• Ability to hand code HTML and CSS without using a framework.
• Proficiency in writing clean, efficient, and scalable code.
• Understanding of good responsive web layout and design principles.
• Significant experience with CMS platforms.
• Photoshop proficiency.
• Working knowledge of JavaScript, jQuery and JSON with the ability to modify existing scripts.
• Understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and interest in solving them proactively.
• Strong willingness to address impediments and roadblocks and to research solutions independently.
• Debugging and troubleshooting experience.
• Interest in staying abreast of emerging technologies.
• Ability to write new JavaScript for new projects.
• Knowledge of SEO principles.
• Experience with ADA and accessibility.
• Bootstrap.
• Teamwork and collaboration.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
