About Us

Batch.Space is joining forces with Hackney Depot to create a unique cultural and creative hub in East London combining co-working, maker facilities, events, and a vibrant resident community.

We’re looking for a freelance Marketing Manager to help us rebrand, refresh our communications, and showcase the activity within the space.

This role is about focus and consistency: making sure Hackney Depot stays visible, attractive, and connected to its community.

Social Media & Content

• Schedule 2–3 posts per week across Instagram and LinkedIn.
• Highlight events, members, and services through engaging posts.

Community Storytelling

• Capture the atmosphere of the space through photos, short videos, and profiles.
• Work closely with members to share their stories and projects.

Brand Alignment

• Ensure all channels reflect the new Hackney Depot identity.
• Support updates to the website and booking platforms with consistent messaging.

• Coordination & Reporting
• Join weekly stand-ups with the team
• Provide a short monthly update on reach, engagement, and highlights.

• Proven experience in marketing for creative, co-working, or maker spaces.
• Strong copywriting and visual storytelling skills.
• Comfortable creating and scheduling content on Instagram and LinkedIn.
• Independent, organised, and realistic about working within a 1-day/week role.
• A genuine passion for creative communities and design/making culture.

• £1,000/month freelance fee (approx. £230/day).
• 1 dedicated day/week with flexibility.
• Free desk space in Hackney Depot’s creative hub.
• Opportunity to expand the role if results are strong and further investment is secured.
