    Day-to-day Operations

     JOB DESCRIPTION

    • Maintain Firefighting equipment on board in a state of readiness.
    • Stand-by or monitor hot work locations as per the hot work permit requirements.
    • Monitor compliance to Hot Work procedure on assigned areas and report unsafe act/ condition.
    • Participate in Emergency Drills
    • Fire prevention
    • Emergency Response to rescue of injured or trapped personnel or fighting fire.
    • Maintenance of all fire rescue equipment.
    • Manage the day-to-day OH&S aspects of the project and to ensure that policies and procedures are implemented and complied.

    Minimum Qualification

    • Secondary / High school pass
    • Fire and rescue training
    • Trained as a fireman and served minimum three years training with a national fire brigade / shipyard.
    • Good knowledge of Fire and Rescue techniques
    • Familiar with the ship/Rig construction.
    • Good knowledge on fire prevention
    • Good awareness about hot work/Fire related risk and other safety related procedures
