Role Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Deputy Contract Manager with a background in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying to support our contract management team. The successful candidate will assist in managing contracts for construction projects, ensuring compliance with contract terms, and mitigating risks.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction industry practices, including contract administration, cost management, and risk management. Experience working on large-scale construction projects will be an advantage.
Qualifications
- Experience in Contract Management and Project Management
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related field
- Professional certification (or membership in relevant professional bodies).
- Proven experience in contract management or a related field in the construction industry
- Strong understanding of construction contracts, contract law, and regulations.
- Understanding of Budgeting and Financial Analysis
- Proficiency in Legal and Regulatory Compliance
- Excellent Communication and Negotiation skills
- Problem-Solving and Critical Thinking abilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and build strong relationships with construction professionals.
- Experience with contract management software and tools specific to the construction industry.
- Experience in the construction or engineering industry is a plus
