Employer Industry: Automotive Retail Why Consider This Job Opportunity • Hourly pay of $20/hr • Opportunity to gain hands-on experience in diverse business law practice areas • Flexible work location arrangements, including remote work options • Exposure to various legal projects in a collaborative environment • Chance to work with a top-tier legal team within a leading automotive retailer • Recognized for commitment to training and diversity within the workplace What To Expect (Job Responsibilities) • Conduct legal research on multi-state statutory and regulatory changes related to motor vehicle dealer operations • Assist in drafting legal documents, including motions for summary judgment and contracts for third-party services • Analyze local ordinances and complete legal checklists for new store openings • Collaborate with Hiring Company attorneys on various legal matters across the department • Work part-time during the school year and full-time during the summer What Is Required (Qualifications) • Strong Westlaw research skills and excellent communication abilities • Experience preparing research memoranda and a general understanding of business issues • Ability to work full-time during the summer and part-time (12-15 hours per week) during the school year • Strong academic credentials and a self-starter attitude • Availability to start in one of two positions: one immediately until May 2026, and the other from May 2025 to May 2026 How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications) • Previous experience in a legal or business-related role • Familiarity with commercial contracting, corporate governance, or labor and employment law • Interest in the intersection of business and law • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment #AutomotiveRetail #LegalInternship #CareerDevelopment #RemoteWork #DiversityAndInclusion We prioritize candidate privacy and champion equal-opportunity employment.
