As a leader in selling and servicing commercial automatic doors across the Midwest for over 75 years, we are seeking a dedicated Inside Estimator to help us continue to deliver excellence to contractors, architects, facilities, and end users.Key Responsibilities• Engage and collaborate with architects, contractors, and clients to provide expert guidance on hardware options while ensuring adherence to project specifications.• Skillfully read and interpret construction plans to identify appropriate door package requirements.• Produce detailed and prompt estimates based on project specifications, ensuring timely delivery to customers and contractors.• Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and diligently following up on submitted estimates.• Monitor and communicate the status of submitted estimates, ensuring effective tracking of bid progress.• Assist in transitioning estimates into orders, facilitating a seamless handover to the project management team.• Develop precise proposals outlining the scope of work, including any necessary clarifications or exclusions relevant to the bid.• Prospect and pursue qualified commercial construction leads via commercial bidding software (e.g., ConstructConnect, SmartBid, PlanHub).• Maintain engagement and interest through timely follow-ups on submitted bids.• Cultivate and strengthen relationships with general contractors' procurement and estimating teams to secure projects.• Establish and uphold positive business relationships with clients through consistent communication and follow-ups to achieve targeted growth.• Continuously seek improvement opportunities through feedback.• Collaborate across various industries, including Healthcare, Retail, Education, Government Institutions, Senior Living, Hospitality, and Manufacturing.Required Skills• Proven proficiency in reading blueprints and specifications.• Strong understanding of construction plans and specifications.• Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.• Familiarity with basic computer applications and estimating software.• Excellent organizational, communication, and analytical abilities.• Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software is a plus.Qualifications• Minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial construction estimating (preferred).• Prior experience in the commercial door and hardware industry is a plus.• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment while meeting critical deadlines.Career Growth OpportunitiesWe are committed to providing a pathway for professional growth and development, empowering our employees to enhance their skill sets and advance their careers within our organization.Company Culture And ValuesOur company prides itself on fostering a supportive and collaborative work environment, where employees feel valued and empowered.
