About the Role
Are you a detail-oriented accounting professional with a passion for cash management and forecasting? Coast Counties Peterbilt is looking for a Cash Accountant to join our team in San Jose. In this role, you’ll ensure our cash operations run smoothly—from daily bank activity to forecasting future cash needs—while contributing to accurate and timely financial reporting.
What You’ll Do
- Reconcile cash, AR, and bank accounts with the general ledger.
- Review bank activity daily and post all incoming payments.
- Forecast cash requirements and build cash forecasting models.
- Generate accurate invoices and follow up on outstanding payments.
- Process returned payments, DMV/FET/tax postings, and warranty statements.
- Support finance with loan payoff materials and system entries.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong experience in cash accounting (not just general accounting).
- Bachelor’s in Accounting preferred; CPA a plus.
- Advanced Excel skills (cash forecasting, modeling, reconciliations).
- Familiarity with Wells Fargo banking portals; ERP experience (Karmak is a plus).
- Strong ethics, integrity, and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
